Why a Change-Ready Mindset Matters
Everything thatâs going on with AI, US politics and economic shifts? It's a bit of a rollercoaster. But, honestly, that's where the real opportunities hide. And just like your personal brand makes you stand out at work, being able to lead and adapt through big changes? That's what really sets you apart.
On March 19th, I will be in Lausanne at the Women in Digital Switzerland event to share how focusing on what you can control helps you thriveâwhether youâre moving countries, switching careers, or building something entirely new. We will explore:
-
Staying Curious
-
Harnessing Fear
-
Celebrating Achievements
-
Building a Strong Network
-
Embracing a Growth Mindset
-
Taking an Experimental Approach
When you embrace change as an ongoing process rather than a one-time event, it moves from a scary obstacle to a path for discovery. And yes, I may have an easy-to-remember framework to share with you, while we talk about it đ
If that resonates with you, join me in Lausanne for a deeper conversation about channelling uncertainty into success.

Focus On What You CAN Control: Your Mindset
You know that feeling when you're kind of... waiting? Waiting for things to shift, for your company to make a move, before you can? Well, what if you didn't have to?
Turns out, what you really need is already inside you. When things get a bit unpredictable, the folks who really thrive are the ones who take charge, put energy into their own growth, and figure out how to adjust, instead of just hoping everything will magically line up.
I have seen it happen so many times, talented people getting stuck because they are waiting for the perfect moment.
I noticed the complimentary 60-minute executive coaching sessions I offered in my previous newsletter were claimed rapidly. I understand that you have numerous matters to address.
That's why I am so excited about The Bootcamp, a new group coaching program we are launching in mid-April through The Change Republic. My dear fellow executive coach, Alina Ignatieva and I put our heads together to create something that gives you the tools, the strategies, and a supportive group to help you actually build the career you want, regardless of what's happening out there.
We have early bird pricing going until March 20th, and if you're reading this, you get an extra 10% off if you just reply to this email before then. We are keeping the group small, so spots are limited.

Everyday AI: Start With the Right Prompts
A really big part of having a change ready mindset is to experiment. To try something new on a topic close to your heard. But then a friend recently told me, âI tried ChatGPT for work and got nothing useful.â We started to dig deeper, why he did not get anything useful. It turned out he just typed a one-liner, expecting magic.
Itâs no wonder he was disappointedâhe was not sure how to ask and instruct (prompt) effectively. Maybe more of you want to get that change-ready mindset steady and ready, so, let me share a few insights to get you started on the right foot.
Which ChatGPT Versions Are Available?
As of now, thereâs a free version (GPT-3.5) and a Plus subscription that gives you access to GPT-4o and o1. The paid version is typically more nuanced, handles context better, and often produces more accurate results and o1 is great for advanced reasoning.
But whichever version you use, the real trick lies in how you frame your questions.
Think of ChatGPT As Your Intern
If you want quality output, treat ChatGPT like a new intern who needs clear guidance. Provide details on the persona, task, context, format and give examplesâeverything you woud normally consider âobviousâ in your own head. And treat them nicely.
The richer the prompt, the better the outcome. Like this:

And here is why:
Bad Prompt:
Your prompt: âPlan a fitness routine.â
Your result: A bland, generic workout regimenâlikely too vague to be helpful., something like this:
Whatâs Missing?
-
No details on fitness goals (e.g. weight loss, strength, endurance)
-
No time frame or frequency specified
-
No indication of any physical limitations or equipment available
-
No clear structure or style for the plan
Good Prompt:
âAct as an award winning fitness instructor. Create a 4-week fitness routine for someone who wants to improve cardiovascular health and lose 5 pounds. They have access to a basic gym (treadmill, free weights, stationary bike) and can work out 3 days a week. Include recommended workout durations, exercises, and progression from week to week. Provide brief dietary tips focusing on high-protein snacks.â
After this prompt, you get something that starts like this:
Why This Works:
-
Goal & Time Frame: A 4-week plan with a target of losing 5 pounds.
-
Context & Constraints: Explains available equipment and workout frequency.
-
Structured Outline: Requests clear progression and dietary pointers.
-
Audience-Focused: Tailored advice for someone specifically targeting cardio health and mild weight loss.
Here's the secret to getting amazing results from AI: ask the right questions and give details. Being clear and specific makes all the difference. It's just like communicating with your teamâclear instructions, better outcomes. Otherwise, you will get what you give: not much.
Don't worry about AI taking over your thinking. You bring the ideas; AI brings the polish. You are the sculptor; AI is the tool. Together, you create something you can use.
